Racklight Lights by RPM Optoelectronics
Call me crazy but the thing that has caught my attention most recently is
the Racklight. Designed by RPM Optoelectronics, it is a single rackspace
unit featuring a 19 inch, circular tube that illuminates when turned on.
The tube or bulb doesn't get hot and doesn't burn out having an expected
lifetime of 100,000 hours. The tube swivels 360 degrees and can be set to
shine in any direction. The tube protrudes about 1 inch from the rack's
face while the body of the unit only takes up about a ? inch of internal
rack depth.

The Racklight comes in a variety of colors including Indigo(blue),
Gecko(green), Firefly(red), Sunset(orange), Fusion(purple),
Lightning(white), and the color changing Chameleon model which can operate
as one color or can change colors automatically with the press of a button.
As far as looks, it really dresses up just about any system, giving your
rack a cool or hot look depending on what color you choose.

In addition to the standard 19" rackmount version there is also a 10"
version designed for DJ battle mixers. While the 19" version can only be
rackmounted the 10" version is designed to sit directly on top of a battle
mixer or almost anywhere else.

The Racklight comes completely assembled. It took me just seconds to set it up by screwing it into my rack and plugging in the included AC power
adapter. A product manual is included but operation is a simple as
depressing one button for on and off on the standard units. The chameleon
model has an additional button for color switching and entering "chameleon"
mode.

I've been using this for about a month and a half and it definitely brings
life to your rig. It helps in dimly lit situations or can be shined on
your gear to attract attention while adding a little bit of personal spice.
I really love this thing. It won't increase your DJ skills but is a great
accessory for almost any rig.

You can pick up a Racklight for about $100 for any of the single color

1) Glare-free directional focused lighting
2) Super bright lamp that never heats up.
3) Basically maintenance free
4) Multitude of color choices available, great for dressing up your rig.

Drops:
1) The power supply provided is a "wall wart" and may waste useful space.
2) Unit's 1"inch front protrusion may not be compatible with all racks.
3) May seem a bit pricey for some DJs to pay for a light.
